Tour Plan

Day 01 Fes – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Your 2 Days Tour from Fes begins at early dawn from Fes accommodation or airport. The expedition moves forward from the bustling city towards Ifrane where southward leads us to encounter this pretty town renowned for its Swiss-inspired architecture together with its cool alpine climate. Ifrane appears like a miniature Swiss village because its architecture differs from standard Moroccan scenery.

Following the cedars forest lies an opportunity to observe Barbary macaques along with feeding this unique North African species. We conclude our photo session in Midelt before experiencing a delectable lunch followed by an observance of the Ziz Valley during our drive. The magnificent valley stands out because it possesses beautiful palm groves and eye-catching rock structures and numerous Berber settlements.

Your journey leads to the stunning Merzouga Sahara Desert around the afternoon which will start your exciting adventure. You will give your vehicle to the camel riders who will lead you through the spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes. You will stand on top of a high dune to experience an extraordinary Sahara sunset which will illuminate the sky with orange and red colors. You will experience a traditional Moroccan drink of mint tea when you reach the campsite in the desert. Participate in a Berber music concert by the campfire after dark while admiring the celestial lights of the stars. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 02 Explore Merzouga – Nomadic Villages – Khamlia – Merzouga Lake – Erg Chebbi Dunes

You will maintain a memory of a sunrise over the Sahara that extends beyond your lifetime when you wake up early to observe it. A nutrition-filled breakfast comes before you mount a camel for a return journey to Merzouga so your driver can begin a rugged road expedition to discover the desert landscapes.

The initial stop takes us to an ancient eyeliner mine which reveals traditional mining approaches to its visitors. The nomadic family invites you for a look at their special way of living while preparing and serving authentic Berber tea from inside a tent that they hand-wove themselves. The destination following our earlier stops is Khamlia which maintains significant importance due to its acknowledged musical history. This oasis hosts a mesmerizing Gnawa concert because Khamlia inherits its sub-Saharan roots from its African musical heritage.

We spend our afternoon eating lunch at a nearby restaurant then we explore the palm grove before heading to Merzouga Lake (also known as Flamingos' Lake) where birds migrate at particular times of the year. You will finish your day by coming back to the comfortable Merzouga hotel followed by dinner.

Day 03 Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Ziz Valley – Ifrane – Fes

Breaking from breakfast we embark on the return trip to Fes while visiting interesting attractions throughout the journey. Rissani stands as the historical center of the Tafilalet region before we continue our trip. Tourists seek this traditional souk for its position as one of the most genuine markets in Morocco since locals buy and sell a wide range of goods including spices and handmade products. Visitors who decide to attend the market on Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday will witness the historical trading atmosphere of this ancient commercial center.

The journey from Rissani brings travelers to Erfoud which holds the title as Morocco's "fossil capital.". In this destination you can observe fossil workshops which explain how marine fossils become beautiful decorative items. We drive onward to the Ziz Valley stopping to admire the valley's scenic palm groves that extend as far as deep ravines. Our journey ends with driving past Ifrane before we arrive in Fes. We will leave you off either at your accommodation or at the airport after your 3 Days Tour from Fes.
